Our apartment, IZZA, felt special right away. It’s named after a Berber woman who used to live here, someone strong and well-liked in the community, which gives the place a good feeling. The spiral staircase leading straight to the terrace, with views over the medina and big sliding glass doors, was a cool entrance. Stepping inside, the apartment opened up – a really impressive two-story space that mixed old and new in a beautiful, open way.
The room inspired by Grace Jones, "The Fearless Musician, Actor and Model," definitely had a bold vibe. The bedroom had this unique Parisian bed with a textile and wooden headboard, and the floor tiles were a custom taupe with a hand-cut zellige border. But the bathroom was the highlight – a really luxurious copper roll-top bath that just made you want to relax. Staying there felt like being in a space with its own interesting story and a touch of daring style.
