A sibling adventure in the Dolomites
Our 10-day journey in the Dolomites was one of silence, nature, and spontaneous creativity. My brother Andrei and I, driven by a shared mission, packed up to fully dig into the charm of the mountains.
The adventure required great preparation, involving weeks of researching the most suitable hikes that would keep us away from the crowds. We planned every detail, from the essential gear for each day to the timings and small things that often go unnoticed.
Our days passed with both wild camping, where we savoured peaceful sunrises alongside local adventurers, and stays at campsites. The initial seven days gave us glorious weather conditions, allowing us to witness six consecutive sunrises, each more stunning than the last.
The weather turned dramatically in the final days. Caught in a fierce thunderstorm with no choice but to run for safety, we were strongly reminded of the mountains' raw power and unpredictability. This experience reinforced our respect for nature, highlighting how alive and formidable the mountains can be.
In the end, our Dolomites adventure was a mix of peaceful moments and thrilling challenges, making it an unforgettable sibling journey.
